Ford car keys
Need a Ford key made or programmed? Our van comes to you anywhere in Central, South or North Jersey. F-150, Escape, Explorer, Fusion, Transit and the rest of the Ford line, with keys cut and programmed on site.

Ford key types by year
Ford was one of the first to chip its keys. Select 1996 models already used the PATS transponder system, and by the early 2000s nearly every Ford on the road had a chip in the key head. Later models added remote-head keys and flip keys, and most push-button Fords from about 2010 onward use the Intelligent Access proximity fob. One useful wrinkle: on many Fords, if you still have two working keys, the owner’s manual shows a way to add a third yourself. With one working key or none, the car needs programming equipment, and that is where we come in.
Models we cover
F-150, F-250 and F-350 Super Duty, Escape, Explorer, Edge, Expedition, Fusion, Focus, Fiesta, Mustang, Ranger, EcoSport, Bronco, Transit and Transit Connect, along with most other Ford models from 1996 onward.
All keys lost
Lost every key to the truck or the family Explorer? Skip the tow. We come to where the Ford is parked, make a new key from the car and program it to the PATS or Intelligent Access system. On proximity fobs we cut the emergency blade inside the fob as well. More about how an all-keys-lost job works.
Dealer-level equipment
Late-model Fords call for diagnostic-level programming tools, the kind dealers use. We carry current dealer-level equipment, so even the newest models are handled where they sit. No tow and no dealer appointment.

A spare key and an all-keys-lost job are different jobs. Before you call, have these details ready:
- The year and model of your Ford.
- Whether you have a working key, a damaged key, or no keys.
- Whether the car has push-button start or a turn-key ignition.
- The town where the vehicle is parked.
Call (732) 993-7400 with those details so we can confirm the key and quote the work before scheduling.

Questions we hear
Can you make a Ford key if I lost my only one?
Yes. All-keys-lost is a regular job for us, and we bring everything needed to the vehicle.
I have two working keys. Do I still need a locksmith for a third?
Maybe not. Many Fords let you add a third key yourself when two working keys are present; check the owner’s manual. With only one working key, the new key has to be programmed to the car, and we can do that on site.
How long does it take?
Timing depends on the vehicle, the key system and whether any key still works. Tell us the year, model and situation when you call so we can discuss the work before scheduling.
We also make keys for Nissan, Hyundai, Audi, Land Rover, Chevrolet, Dodge, Jeep and Infiniti.
