Infiniti key types by year

Infiniti started chipping keys in the late 1990s with its NATS immobilizer system: a metal key with a chip in the head that the car checks before it will start. From about 2007, the line moved quickly to the Intelligent Key, a proximity fob for push-button start, and nearly every Infiniti built since uses it. Every Intelligent Key also has an emergency blade inside it, which we cut as part of the job.

G35, G37, Q50, Q60, Q70, QX50, QX55, QX60, QX80, FX35, FX37, FX50, M35, M37, M56, EX35, JX35, QX30, QX4, I35 and Q45, along with most other Infiniti models from the late 1990s onward.

All keys lost

If every key is gone, the car does not have to go to a dealer. We come to where the Infiniti is parked, make a new Intelligent Key from the car and program it to the immobilizer, emergency blade included. More about how an all-keys-lost job works.

Dealer-level equipment

Later Infinitis call for diagnostic-level programming tools, the kind dealers use. We carry current dealer-level equipment, so even the newer cars are done where they sit. No tow and no dealer appointment.

What it costs

Pricing comes down to the specific car: the year, whether it takes a transponder key or an Intelligent Key, and whether you still have a working key. Call with the year, model and situation and we will quote the job before any work starts.
